Minor modifications have been made to the Shadow image (Shadow IDS on Slackware Linux). Both Shadow and Snort are now combined together in the ISO download to give greather flexibility to all prospect users of this sensor. As such, seperate support for Snort will cease. Please take a look at:

Shadow IDS on Slackware Linux contains the following updates as of version 2.2:

• - Addition of iptables firewall and a script (The option is still there to use ipchains)
• - Addition of Snort 1.8.7 with everyting to get you started
• - Addition of oinkmaster.pl to auto-update the Snort signatures on a regular basis
• - Run both Shadow/Snort IDS on the same platform
• - Remove either sensors to run either Shadow or Snort

I will only be supporting Shadow IDS on Slackware Linux as of August 25th 2002.
